Updated Daily Facial Skin Routine

Hello all! I hope you are all well, sorry I haven't been on the blog in a while there has been quite a lot going on recently on a personal level,  but I am determined to start posting regularly again (watch this space.) Today I thought that I would do an updated facial skin regime as recently I have changed up the products that I am using and I am definitely seeing a difference. This post will be on my morning skin routine but if you want to see my night time skin routine let me know in the comments section below!

To start off with I usually rinse my face in the morning with cold water to wake me up and make me feel fresh! I then go in with a cleanser and at the moment I have been using the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Lotion Astringente Micro-Exfoliante. I use that on a cotton pad to swipe all over the face getting rid of any dead skin cells and impurities.

I then like to go in with this new product from The Body Shop, the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Essence Lotion and I apply this by putting a very small amount on my hands rub together and then smooth onto the face. When I was last in The Body Shop I actually had a skin test done on my face to see how hydrated my skin was. Though it wasn't too bad considering I was wearing a matte foundation at the time that dries out the skin significantly, I was recommended this product to help boost not just the hydration in my skin, but also the effectiveness of any serum or daily moisturiser I put on after, as this product helps the skin to prepare to absorb any other products I put on top more efficiently.

I have been trying out this new serum from Nivea and it is the Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Serum Pearls and I really like it. It is an affordable serum that pretty much does what it says on the tin. It absorbs well into the skin and has Hyaluronic Acid providing its anti-wrinkle power. This is my second bottle of this product and I highly recommend it if you are just starting to get into your anti-wrinkle products like I am.

After serum I apply a daily moisturiser and at the moment I am using up the Garnier Skin-Active Moisture Bomb Antioxidant Moisturiser. This is a very affordable lightweight moisturiser that does the job, makes your skin feel smooth and soft and sits nicely under make up. I also have the Moisture Boost sheet masks of this and I really like using them to refresh my skin and make it feel plump and hydrated.

A staple in my skincare regime is The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream . I definitely feel at this time of year the cold weather and rain, wind and snow can play havoc with your eyes. This eye cream is such a simple one to use. Its sinks into the skin really well, sits nicely under foundation and concealer and is generally just a really lovely affordable product.

The last product I use (almost) daily is the Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz ( I say almost daily as I am very close to running out and the last time I was in The Body Shop they had sold out!) I love this spritz as a final step to daily skincare it just refreshes the face and adds a little more moisture, I also love the smell of this as it smells of oranges and it is amazing!

I would like to add one more product to this that I don't use all the time but really need to get into the habit of. If I'm out and about in the city, outside or in the sun I really have enjoyed using The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence with SPF 50 PA++++. At the moment I'm all about protection and really looking after the face you have, you only get one after all! I have been looking for an high SPF to wear daily and this one is just perfect. It is a cream to liquid texture sinks in beautifully into the skin and doesn't even feel like you are wearing anything. Its such a fantastic affordable product that has such a high protection from not just UVA and UVB rays but also pollution which can affect your skin daily.

I hope you have all enjoyed this post and again apologies for the long spell of know posts, I promise this is about to change! Let me know in the comments below if there are any products you would recommend. :)

Affordable Summer Hair Saviours

Hello! So today I wanted to bring your attention to these awesome products that have been saving my hair this summer. As we know the summer months as lovely as they are can be disastrous for your hair. Sun, saltwater and heat is a killing combo for those dry ends! To try to combat the effects from these I have been using some new affordable products which I think have definitely saved my hair, the first of which being Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Soother Heat Protection Milk.

This stuff is incredible. It feels so nourishing on the hair and provides heat protection but doesn't cause product build up or weigh your hair down. The Rice Cream and Oat Milk gives it such a delicate creamy fragrance that isn't overpowering and is also amazing to use to detangle your hair after a shower. Coming in at £4.49 in Boots (and usually being on offer) its a hair care product I plan to keep in my routine for a long time coming.

Keeping in with the Garnier Ultimate Blends range I am also loving their new shampoo and conditioner, The Strength Restorer which is in their Honey Treasures range. These products first and foremost smell absolutely delicious and a big win for me is that you can still smell the fairly delicate scent of honey after you have blow dried and straightened your hair. They feel so moisturising and your hair does feel stronger and less tangled after using. At the moment coming in at £4 for two in Boots they are an affordable staple for your wash bag!

Treatment wise there has been one I have been using between my Philip Kingsley mask (the review of which you can see in my 2016 Favourites here) and that is the Aussie 3 Min Miracle Take The Heat mask. All of the Aussie range smells absolutely amazing, however this in particular smells like bubblegum which stands as such unique Aussie hair care smell for me. This product just does what it says on the tin, its nourishing, thick without weighing hair down, detangles and makes your hair super soft and shiny after using. Currently on offer for £2.48 in Superdrug (usual price £4.99) you cant go wrong with this treatment.

Recently I have had so many compliments on the general look and shine my hair has and I have to hand it to the COlab Luxe Shine. I love this stuff and always stock up on tins when it is on offer! This stuff makes your hair so shiny while being weightless and also contains oils to make sure your hair has the nourishment it needs. I always finish any look daily with a quick spritz of this through the ends and it definitely makes a difference! You can get this product in Superdrug where at the moment it is on offer at £3.32 (usually £4.99.)

Combining these products over the summer months has definitely helped my hair to stay in tip top shape and it just shows you don't need to go high end to keep your tresses in good condition! As usual all opinions are my own and I am not sponsored or anything to review any of these products, they are just my own favourites for the summer months!

If you have any favourite summer hair care saviours please let me know in the comments below as I would love to find some new products to try!
